The Officials from the health department announced on Wednesday that they would step up the immunization campaign in Noida and Delhi once more for those who have not yet had their booster shot.

There are currently 13 ongoing Covid cases in Ghaziabad, whereas Delhi recorded 53 new Covid cases and one death. Gautam Budh Nagar reported 10 active cases, with 5 Covid cases reported in the last 24 hours.

Doctors advised people to prioritize social withdrawal and the wearing of face masks because festival season is still going on.

Dr. Mrinal Sircar, director of pulmonology at Fortis Hospital in Noida, said that the virus has the propensity to change; hence focus right now should be on finishing the booster dose and avoiding crowded areas because seasonal diseases are also spreading.

Dr. Manoj Kuswaha, the district surveillance officer for GB Nagar, added that even though a sharp rise in Covid cases is not observed, people should still take the necessary measures throughout the festive and holiday season and currently Covid guidelines remain unaltered.
